Lately, I have been considering the Christian life. Not just living out my faith in Christ but looking at what is it about my life that makes it different from those who do not follow Christ. I would like to say that all those who do not follow Christ are mean spirited, impolite, Do you have quiet time? Do you read the Word daily? Do you have personal devotions allowing time for a conversation with your Savior? Of course you do. You are a Christ follower. Well……maybe not. I just got home from 3 days spent with my Dad and as I rode in the pickup truck with him, fixing fence, checking cattle, and loading hay bales, the day to day work of farming, I walked memory lane. I don’t get home much. I left [...] Thanks to all the wonderful ladies at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Goodland, Kansas, as well as First United Methodist, Norton who welcomed me for their ladies soiree’s recently. It is always an honor and privileged to share with women all that God has done through His Son, Jesus as well as what He is wanting to do [...] I’ve had great intentions to blog lately, but life has been a little upside down the last few weeks. Happy, Happy Resurrection Day since I didn’t say it April 12th! We had two wonderful services at St. Francis Community Church celebrating the Truth that He is Alive! I’ve been giving a lot of thought to change lately. Pastor Kent Morgan of Courts of Praise Church in Atwood, Kansas once said, “Change is mandatory. Growth is optional.” I like that quote, even as I struggle to grow thru changes! What is it about change that grates on us? That may not surprise you if you read me often but it surprised me a little because I consider myself a pretty funny person! Whatever we offer Him, we know that it is a meager offering compared to what He has offered us—the atoning death of His Son upon the cross, eternal life with Him, abundant life in the here and now, mercy and grace for each day….any one of those things is more than [...] Just rolled in from Central Illinois and a wonderful time at Mason City Christian Church visiting our dear friends, Pastor Joe and Cheryl Briseno and their 3 girls, not to mention +/- 300 new friends in their congregation! What a wonderful time of fun, food and fellowship! On Sat. MCC hosted a Ladies Luncheon for their church I have been thinking about a quote I read recently from Chantel Hobbs. (Chantel is a dynamo who once weighed close to 350 lbs. and through her relationship with the Lord and perseverance; she lost over 200 lbs. and has written a book about her experience.)
